In August 2000 Whitehopleman made a presentation on the benchmarking service to the cement industry working group of the IFC and World Bank. Subsequently Whitehopleman has advised the IFC on a number of issues relating to cement manufacturing around the world. Recently the IFC have informed us that: 
  
“The IFC encourages the companies on its portfolio (particularly those not belonging to large global groups) to avail the industry benchmarking exercise being carried out by Whitehopleman, an independent agency based in the UK.”
